We should all strive to have healthy relationships. Relationships that are genuine and consist of honesty, trust, love, communication, compromise and understanding.
It is essential to surround yourself with people who are good to you and good for you. Your associations help determine your quality of life and that's why it is important to ensure that your relationships are constantly growing. Relationships, whether they are romantic or platonic should be taking you somewhere and not taking from you.
Always be mindful of your energy when you are around others and take note of those who bring out the best in you, those are the keepers! Distance yourself from those who don't feed your soul, those who always take but never give, those who you check up on but who never check in, those who make you frown but never make you smile, those who don't support your dreams and those who don't respect you.
Surround yourself with people who are good for you mentally, spiritually, professionally and emotionally.
At the end of the day, we're human and our relationships will always be flawed because at some point, someone will get hurt and someone will make a mistake but the aim is to grow through those imperfections. When you genuinely cherish a relationship/ friendship, you will be determined to compromise and resolve any issues.
Know who you are, know your worth, know what you want and know when someone can't give it to you. Walking away hurts but it is important to let go of any relationship that drains you and is stagnant. You teach people how to treat you and you show them how you value yourself by the things you allow, remember that.
Daily Prayer: Lord, please remove anyone from my circle who is detrimental to my destiny. Give me the wisdom and discernment to know who can stay and who needs to be let go. I pray for genuine connections and friendships, people who get me, people who celebrate me and people who understand the power of purpose.
